lyrics

Rage, rage against the dying of the light
Don't let go quietly

I found these moments to teach me adoration
The profound meaning behind the slight sad look of eyes in love
We all come down with grief every once in a while
And with nostalgia over something we haven't even lost yet
So, know the value of scarcity and learn to cherish the finiteness of life

How can you squander the possibility for transcendence and love while you are conscious of your fleeting time here?

Does impermanence bring meaninglessness when beauty fades to nothingness?
And the exception is a rabbit hole
A notion to avoid decay
While it can only be temporary, do you give in?
Do you renounce dependence and all attachments?

Is the rose that you give to a loved one made of plastic?
Or would you want a setting sun to last forever?
Everything you enjoy will one day end and vanish
Everyone you love will one day be taken away from you or you from them
All beauty dies, but it's the fact that it dies that empowers your emotions to appreciate all you have
So much more

This lifts me up and disguises the world’s apathy and hatred
It’s the softest touch and a warm glow, even in the absence of colour

Without things I fear I might lose I am nothing at all
They tear at my heart and hang onto my very soul and won’t let go quietly

It’s when the whole world dissolves and reappears again
And you skip a beat, a breath, a blink of an eye..
I will extend these moments forever
Or at least I will give them my all
